Beds

The beds are bunks and they were plenty big enough and comfortable. The hostel isn't air conditioned (thanks Europe) and I happened to be there during a heat wave so it was pretty hot and humid. But the beds were definitely sufficient!

Bathroom

Ok. The bathrooms made me mad. They were clean and big, which was nice. HOWEVER, you need to swipe your card to get into the bathroom and it only works on your floor! So if the two stalls are taken, you have to wait. You canโ€™t simply walk down the stairs (speaking from experience). This is absurd if you ask me.

Bar

As with most Hostelling International hostels, what bar?โ€ฆ

There is breakfast at the hostel but be prepared for a college dorm type of experience. The place gets packed and the breakfast is average. But for budget travelers, it is a buffet so stuff your face.

Storage

Each person has a designated locker that is opened and locked with your room key card, which is super convenient. The downside is that the lockers are in the hallway. However, they are big enough for a full suitcase and backpack! A rarity.

Notes

The Wifi here was super sketchy. Is a great looking hostel appearance wise. A little more college dorm-y than I personally prefer but it looks great. However, the Wifi was downright awful both for me and the guys in my dorm room. None of us could connect consistently from our room nor the lobby.

Value

Per usual, be ready to pay Swiss prices for Swiss accommodations. The nice thing however is that itโ€™s right downtown near the lake and there are bus lines all over to take you anywhere you want to go!
