BEDS

The beds here were nothing special, but also nothing to complain about which is probably the bigger point of emphasis. All I ask for is an easy night of sleep and that’s what I got for several nights here at Banana Bungalow.

BATHROOM

There are shared co-ed bathrooms on the floors, which isn’t super convenient. The showers are tiny and the actual stalls for the toilets are even smaller.

BAR

There’s not a bar here but there’s a kitchen with all sorts of cookware items. You can feel comfortable making your own food as most people do here. The best part though is that every morning they provide free coffee and stuff to make your own pancakes! This was unique and I took FULL advantage of this.

STORAGE

My room didn’t have any storage so that’s not super convenient.

NOTES

The staff here is made up mostly of other travelers who are doing longer stays in Hawaii. They are super nice and helpful and will likely invite you to a party at Big Beach at some point. Participate at your own risk! :)

VALUE

No hostel in the United States has good value. That’s just a fact. But as for hostels on Maui, this is by far the top one!
